WASHINGTON – Yesterday, Senator Jim Justice, a member of the Senate Aging Committee, attended a hearing titled, Lessons from the Field: How Sports Medicine Can Improve Health Outcomes for Seniors. During the hearing, Senator Justice introduced West Virginia native, Dr. Paul Legg as a witness:


BACKGROUND:
- Dr. Legg grew up in Beckley, West Virginia, and attended Woodrow Wilson High School – the same hometown and high school as Senator Justice.
- Dr. Legg is board-certified, holds a specialization in sports medicine, and has been practicing for almost 30 years. He is currently practicing at Vandalia Health. His clinical interests include knee replacement, arthroscopic knee reconstruction, shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, fractures, and hip surgery.
- He is the team physician for University of Charleston athletics, serving over 600 students each academic year.
