WASHINGTON – Recently, Senator Jim Justice marked 100 days since being sworn in as a U.S. Senator and working on behalf of West Virginians in our nation’s capitol:
“100 days in and we are off to the races. I have worked to introduce and support common-sense legislation, reach across the aisle when possible, and highlight all the great work of this Administration and Senate Republicans. I’ll continue my work to make sure West Virginia is spoken for and represented in the Senate, and I’ll continue to travel across the state to meet with folks to hear what they would like to see from Washington. It’s been a true honor to serve, and I look forward to the work ahead,” said Senator Jim Justice.
Since being sworn in Senator Justice has co-sponsored more than 90 pieces of legislation, signed on to nine letters, and introduced two bills.

Senator Justice, who serves on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and the Special Committee on Aging, has attended more than 20 committee hearings on topics ranging from dairy in schools to the opioid epidemic impacting senior citizens.
The Senator’s Constituent Services team, which aims to assist West Virginians with issues they face in the federal government, has received over 400 cases and resolved over 80% of cases. The constituent services team has helped constituents across 38 different counties in West Virginia and worked with 23 different federal agencies to achieve optimal results for West Virginians. Additionally, the Senator’s team has sent nearly 500 letters to constituents who write or call our office about policy, votes, or issues of their concern.
