HANOVER, WV – Today, Senator Justice visited Huff Consolidated Elementary and Middle School to applaud their $110K STEM win at the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. During the visit, Senator Justice also recognized the dedicated teachers and staff of Huff Consolidated as part of Teacher Appreciation Week for their commitment to shaping the next generation of West Virginia leaders.
“There are a whole lot of reasons to celebrate Huff Consolidated today. These students earned incredible national recognition through winning the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. Just as importantly, their teachers are absolutely exceptional and deserve every bit of appreciation for all they pour into these kids each and every day. I owe so much to Wyoming County myself, and it means the world to see these kids reaching for the stars and showing the entire country that West Virginia deserves a seat at the table,” said Senator Jim Justice.
“Having Senator Justice join us today meant the world to our students, staff, and community. This has been a landmark year for Huff Consolidated – from earning a national Samsung Solve for Tomorrow title to being recognized as a WVDE Exemplary Practice School, our Raiders have proven that big things happen in small places. Senator Justice’s visit is a reminder that West Virginia is paying attention to what our kids are capable of, and we couldn’t be more proud to represent Hanover and Wyoming County on a national stage,” said Justin Endicott, Principal, Huff Consolidated Elementary and Middle School, Wyoming County Schools.
