Senator Justice has long been a proud advocate for West Virginians and their healthcare. As Governor during the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked daily to protect West Virginians and enact common-sense standards to keep health care facilities open and give citizens access to the care they needed. As Senator, he has continued this work to improve care, keep healthcare costs low, and increase access to services for our rural population.

Additionally, Senator Justice has continued his dedicated support of West Virginia children and families who have experienced pediatric cancer. In September 2025, he introduced a bill to redesignate a playground in the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve as the “Hearts of Gold Playground: In Honor of West Virginia Children and Families Impacted by Childhood Cancer.” He hopes that this simple bill can honor those who have battled childhood cancer and bring joy to those making memories there.
