Senator Justice believes that a safer America starts with supporting the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to enforce our laws and protect our communities. He proudly stands with officers in small towns to federal agents in big cities who work day and night to keep violent crime off our streets. Senator Justice has urged for stronger fentanyl sentencing policies, better protections for law enforcement officers, and safer working environments for prison correctional officers.

In April 2025, Senator Justice introduced the Bureau of Prisons Security Check and Action against Narcotics in Mail (BOP SCAN Mail) Act. This legislation would fund a program to implement digital mail scanning in federal prisons, which would protect BOP employees from incidental exposure to drugs and help decrease nationwide staffing shortages at prisons.
